OAL recently represented two major oil and gas companies in challenging the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the appointment of the Clients’ bankers as collecting agents to collect alleged outstanding tax liability from the Clients’ accounts with the Banks and restrict the Clients’ access to their bank accounts, without an order of Court. Following engagement and discussions with the FIRS, the bank accounts were unblocked.
